Among these formidable engines, the War Dog Brigands stand out, driven by a passion for precise, long-ranged kills, showing disdain for close assaults. Some even make dark pacts, vowing to elegantly eliminate potent foes or sweep war zones clean with ruthless efficiency.

How to paint the War Dog Brigands set
- Step 1: Prime the Model
Start by priming the War Dog Brigand model with Chaos Black spray to create a solid base for the subsequent layers of paint. - Step 2: Basecoat the Armor
Using a basecoat of Macragge Blue, apply an even layer of paint to the armor plates of the War Dog Brigand, ensuring full coverage. - Step 3: Highlight the Armor
With Altdorf Guard Blue, carefully apply edge highlights to the raised edges and prominent areas of the blue armor, adding depth and definition. - Step 4: Paint the Gold/Bronze Elements
Basecoat the gold/bronze elements, such as trim and decorative details, with Retributor Armor. Follow this with a layer of Gehenna’s Gold and highlight with Auric Armor Gold to achieve a rich and metallic appearance. - Step 5: Paint the Weaponry
For the weapon parts, use Warplock Bronze as a basecoat for the daemonbreath spear, and apply Brass Scorpion to create a worn bronze effect. Basecoat the avenging chaincannon with Balthasar Gold and apply a wash of Agrax Earthshade to add shading. - Step 6: Adding Additional Details
You can enhance your War Dog Brigand model by adding small details like buttons or indicators with Mephiston Red, enhancing metallic areas with Ironbreaker, painting vents or grilles with Abaddon Black, creating glowing energy effects with Yriel Yellow, adding texture to leather-like elements with Rhinox Hide, and applying caution stripes or hazard markings with Averland Sunset. Get creative and customize your model to make it truly unique! - Step 7: Apply Wash
Using Nuln Oil, carefully apply a wash to the entire model, allowing it to settle in the recesses and enhance the shadows and details. - Step 8: Highlight and Edge
Using Fenrisian Grey, carefully highlight the edges of the armor plates and other prominent areas to create contrast and make the details stand out. - Step 9: Varnish the Model
Once the paint is completely dry, protect your work by applying a layer of varnish, such as Munitorum Varnish, to seal and safeguard the painted surface.
