On the TableTop

The enigmatic Spiritseers are revered among the Asuryani for their unique calling to commune with the dead—a concept that sends chills even through the ranks of the Craftworld Aeldari. Primarily tasked with shepherding wraithbone constructs to the battlefield, the Spiritseers’ psychic abilities also extend to aiding the greater Asuryani warhost. With their eldritch powers, they shroud friendly troops in mist, illuminate foes, and unleash mystic bolts of energy to strike down their adversaries.

As an HQ choice for the Craftworld Aeldari, the Spiritseer stands as a skilled psyker on the battlefield, harnessing the powers of the Ruins of Battle discipline. While they excel in guiding Spirit Host units like Wraithlords and towering Wraithknights, they can also heed the call to join the Ynnari, displaying their adaptability and prowess as allies.

With one foot planted on a ruined piece of architecture, the Spiritseer wields a witch staff in one hand and an Aeldari blade in the other, embodying the essence of the Witch Path. Secured to the Spiritseer’s sash, a shuriken pistol stands ready for action, symbolizing their preparedness in any situation.

These ethereal leaders hold a unique place within the Craftworld Aeldari society, bridging the gap between the living and the spirits of the departed. Their mystical guidance and potent psychic abilities add a powerful dimension to the Asuryani’s war effort, providing strategic advantages on the battlefield.

What’s in the Spiritseer box

  • x11 plastic components that make 1 Spiritseer miniature.
  • x1 Citadel 25mm Round Base.

How to paint the Spiritseer set

  1. Step 1: Prime Your Miniature
Start by priming your Spiritseer model with Chaos Black or any other primer of your choice. This will provide a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to.
  2. Step 2: Basecoat the Robes and Armor
Apply a basecoat of red paint to both the robes and the armor. You can use Mephiston Red or a similar shade for this step. Make sure to cover these areas evenly with the basecoat.
  3. Step 3: Paint the Helmet White
Using a white paint like Corax White, carefully paint the Spiritseer’s helmet. Ensure a smooth and even application to achieve a clean look.
  4. Step 4: Paint the Mask Black
For the mask, continue painting with Abaddon Black or any other black paint of your choice. This will give the mask a dark and mysterious appearance.
  5. Step 5: Highlight the Robes and Armor
Next, use a lighter red paint such as Evil Sunz Scarlet to highlight the raised edges and prominent areas of both the robes and the armor. This step will add depth and dimension to the model.
  6. Step 6: Paint the Staff Gold
For the Spiritseer’s staff, use a gold paint like Retributor Armour or any other metallic gold color. This will give the staff an elegant and regal look.
  7. Step 7: Add Blue Details
Now, with a blue paint like Baharroth Blue, paint any details you want to stand out, such as those on the Spiritseer’s sword. This will add a striking contrast to the overall color scheme.
  8. Step 8: Add Final Details
With a fine brush, add any final details to the model, such as the eyes, gems, or runes, using contrasting colors like Ushabti Bone or any other color that suits your style.
  9. Step 9: Varnish and Protect
To preserve your hard work, apply a protective layer of varnish over the entire model. This will safeguard the paint job and prevent any damage over time.
