How to paint the Ravager set

1. Step 1: Base Coat – Black Hull
   Start by applying a solid base coat of Abaddon Black to the Ravager’s hull. Ensure that the hull is evenly covered and let it dry completely.
2. Step 2: Base Coat – Red Sails
   Paint the sails of the Ravager with a base coat of Mephiston Red. Apply an even layer of red paint to the sails, making sure to cover all areas. Allow the paint to dry completely.
3. Step 3: Highlighting – Hull
   To create depth and visual interest, add highlights to the black hull using Eshin Grey. Apply this lighter shade to the raised edges and contours of the hull, emphasizing the shape and adding dimension. Blend the highlights with the base coat for a smooth transition.
4. Step 4: Highlighting – Sails
   For the red sails, mix a lighter shade by adding a touch of Evil Sunz Scarlet to the Mephiston Red base coat. Apply this lighter shade to the raised areas of the sails, such as the edges and folds, to create highlights and enhance the three-dimensional appearance.
5. Step 5: Detailing – Trim and Accents
   Using a fine brush, carefully paint the trim and accents on the Ravager’s hull with Runefang Steel. Apply this metallic paint to areas such as the edges of the sails, the gun barrels, and any other decorative elements.
6. Step 6:  Finishing Touches
   Add any additional details, such as Drukhari symbols or markings, using Yriel Yellow. Carefully paint these details onto designated areas, ensuring clean lines and precise application.
7. Step 7: Wash (Optional)
   If you want to add depth and shading to your Ravager, consider applying a wash. Apply Nuln Oil selectively to the recessed areas and panel lines of the model. This will enhance the shadows and give the ship a weathered appearance.
8. Step 9: Varnish
   To protect your hard work and give the Ravager a finished look, apply a varnish. Use Citadel’s Stormshield to maintain the sleek and stealthy appearance of the ship. Follow the instructions on the varnish product for proper application.
