How to paint the Ork Warboss with Attack Squig set
- Step 1: Prime Your Miniature
Start by priming your Ork Warboss with Attack Squig model with Chaos Black or any other primer of your choice. This creates a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to. - Step 2: Basecoat the Model
Apply a basecoat of paint to the Ork Warboss’s skin and the Attack Squig’s body. For the skin, you can use a green color like Warboss Green, and for the squig’s body, use a brown color like Rhinox Hide. Ensure an even application to cover the entire areas. - Step 3: Paint the Armor and Weapons
Next, paint the Ork Warboss’s armor and weapons with a metallic color like Leadbelcher or any other silver shade you prefer. This will give the armor and weapons a realistic metallic look. - Step 4: Highlight the Skin
Using a lighter green color like Skarsnik Green, carefully apply highlights to the Ork Warboss’s skin. Focus on the knuckles, nose, and cheekbones to make the skin pop. - Step 5: Highlight the Squig’s Body
Similarly, highlight the Attack Squig’s body with a lighter brown color like Mournfang Brown. Add highlights to the edges and raised areas to give the squig more dimension. - Step 6: Paint the Teeth and Eyes
With a contrasting color like Ushabti Bone or any other off-white shade, paint the teeth and eyes of both the Ork Warboss and the Attack Squig. This will make these features stand out. - Step 7: Add Final Details
With a fine brush, add any final details to the model, such as the mouth and nose of the squig or the runes on the Warboss’s armor. Use contrasting colors to make these details stand out. - Step 8: Varnish and Protect
To preserve your work of art, apply a protective layer of varnish over the entire model. This will safeguard the paint job and prevent any damage over time.
