Each Company in a Space Marine Chapter is commanded by a Captain, a seasoned veteran and master strategist. These lords of war read the battlefield’s ebb and flow with enhanced reflexes and a post-human grasp of the ever-changing combat arena.
In addition to their Chapter rank, each Captain may bear additional honorific titles and epithets, reflecting their valorous deeds and the legacy of the Company they lead. Often, they are accompanied by a Standard Bearer, who carries the battle-flag of the Company, steeped in history and laden with the glories of the Chapter.
