The Land Speeder is a highly versatile and efficient skimmer that is capable of executing a variety of battlefield objectives. Equipped with a repulsion plate, the Land Speeder can maneuver in low-altitude situations, simulating flight and allowing it to perform reconnaissance and scout deployments, as well as seek and destroy missions like tank hunting.

The Land Speeder Tornado variant, in particular, is a highly mobile and formidable skimmer that can deal far more damage than its relatively small profile suggests. This skimmer serves as a mobile firebase in battle, equipped with a range of heavy weapons that can be brought to bear wherever they are most needed.

If you are looking to build your own Land Speeder, this boxed set is an excellent choice. With 60 pieces, it allows you to assemble a Land Speeder Tornado, a Land Speeder, or a Land Speeder Typhoon. The set includes a wide variety of weapons, including an assault cannon, a heavy flamer, a Typhoon missile launcher, a multi-melta, and a heavy bolter.

In addition to its impressive array of weapons, this set also includes decals for the Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Ultramarines, and Space Wolves, providing you with the opportunity to customize your Land Speeder to match your preferred chapter. Whether you are a fan of the Space Marines or just love building and painting miniatures, this Land Speeder set is sure to provide you with hours of entertainment and fun.

How to paint the Land Speeder

  1. Step 1: Assemble the miniature
Before you start painting, make sure the miniature is fully assembled and all the pieces are glued together. Use Citadel Plastic Glue to ensure a sturdy bond.
  2. Step 2: Prime the miniature
Use a spray-on primer to create a surface that the paint will easily adhere to. Black or white are popular primer colors. Give Citadel’s Chaos Black Spray a try for this miniature.
  3. Step 3: Base coat the miniature
Apply the base coat of paint to the miniature. This layer should cover the miniature entirely, and it is the foundation for the rest of the paint job. A good base color choice for this miniature is Macragge Blue.
  4. Step 4: Apply a wash
A wash is a thin, watery layer of paint that is applied to the miniature to add depth and shading. Use a wash color that complements the base coat. Nuln Oil as always gets the job done.
  5. Step 5: Highlight the miniature
Highlighting adds dimension to the miniature by emphasizing its features with lighter paint. Use a small brush to carefully apply the highlight color to areas where the light would naturally hit. We are going to use Fenrisian Grey for this but feel free to explore other options.
  6. Step 6: Add details
Details like the Land Speeder’s guns, engine, and cockpit can be painted with contrasting colors to make them stand out. Use a fine brush to apply the details, we recommend Leadbelcher for this part.
  7. Step 7: Varnish the miniature
To protect the paint job, apply a layer of varnish. This will also give the miniature a uniform finish. Can’t go wrong with Munitorum Varnish for this.
