On the TableTop

With its sleek design and advanced technology, the Falcon effortlessly glides through the battlefield, its pilots harnessing the grace and agility of the Aeldari. Armed with a deadly array of weapons, including shuriken cannons, missile launchers, and a pulse laser, the Falcon can unleash a barrage of firepower upon its enemies from a safe distance.

Yet, it is not just the Falcon’s offensive capabilities that make it formidable. It boasts an innovative holo-field, a shimmering energy barrier that confounds enemy targeting systems and enhances its already impressive survivability. This potent defense allows the Falcon to swiftly deliver Aeldari warriors, such as Guardians and Aspect Warriors, safely to the heart of battle, bolstering their forces and ensuring a swift and decisive victory.

The Falcon’s significance goes beyond its strategic value, as it also holds deep cultural and spiritual importance to the Aeldari. Forged with the spirit stones of fallen Aeldari, the Falcon is a vessel that carries the essence of their ancestors, honoring their memory and the eternal cycle of life and death in Aeldari culture.

In the midst of the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, the Falcon stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Aeldari race. Admired for its striking design, feared for its deadly armaments, and revered for its spiritual connection to the past, the Falcon is a symbol of the Aeldari’s resilience and determination to survive in a galaxy filled with unimaginable horrors.

How to paint the Falcon set

  1. Step 1: Basecoat the Hull Red
Start by applying a basecoat of red paint to the Falcon’s hull. Choose a vibrant red color like Mephiston Red to cover the hull evenly. Make sure to paint all the surfaces that you want to be red, including the body and other large areas.
  2. Step 2: Shade the Red Hull
To add depth and shadows to the red hull, apply a wash of Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade over the basecoat. Focus on the recessed areas and panel lines to create a more realistic and weathered appearance.
  3. Step 3: Highlight the Red Hull
Once the shade has dried, use a lighter red color like Evil Sunz Scarlet to highlight the raised areas of the hull. Concentrate on the edges and surfaces that catch the most light. This will make the red hull pop and add visual interest to the model.
  4. Step 4: Paint the Weapons Black
Next, paint the weapons with a black color like Abaddon Black to give them a dark and menacing look. Ensure to cover the entire surface of the weapons with the black paint.
  5. Step 5: Detail the Weapons with Metallics
Use metallic colors like Leadbelcher for the barrels of the shuriken cannons or other parts you want to appear metallic. You can also use Retributor Armour for gold accents on the weapons or other details.
  6. Step 6: Paint Iconography and Details with White
For any icons, symbols, or other details on the Falcon, use a white color like White Scar. This will make the markings stand out against the red hull and add a touch of elegance to the model.
  7. Step 7: Final Touches and Highlights
Add any final details to the Falcon, such as additional highlights or small details to enhance its appearance. For example, you can use lighter shades of metallic colors like Ironbreaker to add edge highlights to the weapons or any other metallic parts.
  8. Step 8: Varnish (Optional)
For added protection and to preserve the paint job, consider applying a layer of varnish. A matte varnish like Stormshield will provide a non-shiny appearance, while a gloss varnish like Ardcoat will enhance the colors’ vibrancy.
