The Inquisition is the Imperium’s most powerful organization, and its agents, the Inquisitors, are feared and respected. Among them is the legendary Gregor Eisenhorn, known for his steely resolve and purity of willpower, who has moved from the ideology of the Puritan to that of the Radical. This journey has led to accusations of heresy, but Eisenhorn has always proven himself to be righteous.

The Eisenhorn miniature in this multi-part resin kit depicts him in his younger days, carrying a variety of tools, including an artificer bolt pistol, a runestaff, a Barbarisater sword, and an electrobane grenade. He also bears an Inquisitorial seal around his neck, an aquila on top, and a purity seal on his armor/cloak combo’s left shoulder.

The base features a sculpted, cracked Inquisition symbol over which Eisenhorn is stepping with purpose and determination, signifying his journey from Puritan to Radical, as well as bolter shells and a horned skull. The kit contains all the necessary components to assemble the miniature.

How to paint the Eisenhorn Set

  • Step 1: Prepare the miniature
Clean the Eisenhorn miniature using warm, soapy water to remove any mold release residue. Once dry, assemble the miniature according to the instructions provided.
  • Step 2: Prime the miniature
Apply a thin, even coat of Chaos Black spray primer to the miniature. This will provide a good base for the paint to adhere to.
  • Step 3: Basecoat the armor
Using a medium-sized brush, apply two thin coats of Incubi Darkness to the armor plates of Eisenhorn. Ensure smooth and even coverage, allowing the paint to dry between coats.
  • Step 4: Paint the details
Use a small brush to paint the various details on the miniature. For example:
  • Step 5: Apply washes
Apply Agrax Earthshade wash over the entire miniature to add depth and shading. Use a small brush and apply the wash to recessed areas and crevices. Allow the wash to dry completely.
  • Step 6: Highlight and edge highlight
Using a small brush, apply thin edge highlights to the raised edges of the armor plates and other details. For example:
  • Step 7: Paint the base
Paint the base using colors that complement your desired theme or environment. For example, you can use Mournfang Brown as a base color and dry brush it with Karak Stone for a rocky appearance. Add additional details such as grass tufts, rocks, or other scenic elements.
  • Step 8: Varnish the miniature
Once the paint is fully dry, protect your Eisenhorn miniature by applying a layer of Citadel Munitorum Varnish. This will help preserve the paint job and provide a protective finish.
