Let’s start by building the bodies of your Centurion Assault Squad. You’ll find 3 distinct torsos, 3 sets of individual legs, 6 unique shoulder pad designs, and 7 heads to choose from (3 bare and 4 helmeted), providing ample customization options.
The Centurion Assault Squad members are equipped with a powerful siege drill on each arm, capable of breaching even the strongest enemy fortifications or devastating opponents in close combat. Additionally, you have the choice of outfitting them with twin-linked flamers or twin-linked meltaguns for devastating firepower. As for the chest plates, you can arm them with ironclad assault launchers or a hurricane bolter, enhancing their versatility on the battlefield.
To add those finishing touches to your squad, the kit includes an additional helmet plume to designate the Sergeant, an omniscope for enhanced targeting, an eagle back banner for a striking visual presence, purity seals for added character, and an iron halo for increased protection.
The Space Marine range allows for incredible customization, with parts interchangeability between different kits. While the Centurion Assault Squad is a unique unit, you can mix and match heads from other Space Marine kits and incorporate additional equipment, resulting in truly distinct collections of miniatures. Unleash the fury of your Centurion Assault Squad and dominate the battlefield!

How to paint the Centurion Assault Squad set
- Step 1: Prime the Miniatures
Apply a thin and even coat of primer to the Centurion Assault Squad miniatures. Chaos Black Spray works well as a base. Priming helps the paint adhere better and provides a smooth surface for painting. - Step 2: Basecoat the Armor
Start by applying a basecoat of blue paint to the armor areas of the miniatures. For example, you can use Macragge Blue to cover the chest plates, shoulder pads, and other armor pieces. Apply multiple thin coats for smooth and even coverage. - Step 3: Highlight the Armor
To bring out the details and create depth, highlight the armor with a brighter shade of blue. Mix a little Calgar Blue with the base blue color and apply it to the raised areas of the armor, such as edges and contours. Focus on creating thin, controlled lines. - Step 4: Shade the Armor
To add shadows and definition, apply a shade to the recesses of the armor. Mix a small amount of Drakenhof Nightshade shade with Lahmian Medium to dilute it slightly. Apply this shade selectively to the deeper areas of the armor, such as the panel lines and corners. Aim for a subtle effect. - Step 5: Paint the Siege Drills
Paint the siege drills with a metallic color, such as Iron Warriors or Leadbelcher. Use a small brush to carefully apply the paint, ensuring you cover the entire drill. You can add a wash of Nuln Oil to create a darker, weathered look. - Step 6: Highlight the Siege Drills
To add dimension and make the siege drills stand out, highlight the edges and raised areas with a lighter metallic color, like Runefang Steel. Apply this paint sparingly to create a metallic sheen on the drills. - Step 7: Paint the Details
Focus on painting the intricate details of the miniatures, such as purity seals, iconography, and helmet lenses. Use appropriate colors, like Screamer Pink for purity seals, and Yriel Yellow for lenses. Take your time and use a small brush for precision. - Step 8: Finishing Touches
Finish off the Centurion Assault Squad by painting the bases. Use a variety of colors and textures to represent different terrain elements. For example, use texture paints like Stirland Mud for earth and Astrogranite Debris for rubble. Experiment with dry brushing techniques to add highlights and make the bases visually appealing. - Step 9: Varnish the Miniatures
To protect your paint job, apply a thin and even coat of varnish over the painted Centurion Assault Squad. Use Stormshield for a non-shiny finish or a gloss varnish for a more vibrant look. Ensure the miniatures are completely dry before applying the varnish.
