Introducing Rotigus, the Generous One, a remarkable greater daemon of Nurgle who surpasses all others in his far-reaching journeys. As he traverses, waves of repugnant life unfurl in his wake, saturating the surroundings with grotesque fecundity. Rotigus takes immense pleasure in his work, nurturing an environment where flora and fauna bloat and contort, exuding a twisted abundance. Such is the extent of his blessings that he forgoes conventional weaponry, instead wielding a gnarlrod that continuously decays and rejuvenates, sprouting ever more abhorrent diseases.

The Rotigus model is a multi-part plastic kit that provides all the components required to assemble this extraordinary Great Unclean One. Sharing certain characteristics with the standard Great Unclean One, Rotigus stands as a massive, quivering mound of blubbery, decomposed flesh. His distended stomach, bursting with pustules and boils, is torn open to reveal a menagerie of jagged and broken teeth, while a tattered shroud loosely covers his head, failing to conceal the horrifying sight of his swollen jaw teeming with a multitude of wriggling maggots. In his right hand, which is plagued with disease, he proudly wields his gnarlrod adorned with macabre trophies and sacred symbols. His left hand, adorned with tentacles and fangs, stretches out with an open palm, ready to unleash malevolent magic upon his adversaries. The kit also includes six Nurglings, engaged in various activities such as swinging censers or simply loitering about, allowing for personalized and imaginative placement within the model.

What’s in the Rotigus box

  • x59 plastic components that make Rotigus. He can be added to both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar armies, and the kit can optionally be used to assemble a Great Unclean One.
  • x1 Citadel 130mm Round base.

How to paint the Rotigus set

  1. Step 1: Base Coat
Apply a base coat of green paint to Rotigus’s skin, using colors like Warpstone Green or Caliban Green.
  2. Step 2: Wash
Apply a wash of dark brown or black paint, such as Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil, to the recesses of the skin. This will add depth and bring out the details.
  3. Step 3: Highlights
Using a lighter shade of green, like Moot Green or Warpstone Glow, carefully paint thin lines or dots on the raised areas of the skin. This technique, known as dry brushing, will highlight the texture and create a vibrant look.
  4. Step 4: Details
Paint Rotigus’s exposed teeth with a bone color like Ushabti Bone or Screaming Skull. For his open palm, use a fleshy pink tone such as Pink Horror or Emperor’s Children.
  5. Step 5: Accessories
Paint the gnarlrod with metallic colors like Leadbelcher or Runefang Steel to give it a weathered metal appearance. You can add additional details using complementary colors like red or purple for the trophies and symbols.
  6. Step 6: Nurglings
Paint the Nurglings with various colors to make them stand out. For example, you can use Zandri Dust for their skin, Screamer Pink for their tongues, and Averland Sunset for their eyes.
  7. Step 7: Final Touches
Add additional details to enhance the overall look of Rotigus. You can apply a gloss varnish to the Nurglings eyes to make them look wet and shiny. Additionally, you can use a dry brush technique with a light color, like Pallid Wych Flesh or White Scar, to create highlights on the teeth and other raised areas.
