The Blue Scribes, known as Atherakhia and P’tarix, are two Tzeentchian scribes bound together in a single entity. Constantly scribbling, chanting, and deciphering the shifting strands of fate, they are tasked with chronicling the ever-changing nature of the Great Sorcerer’s plans. With their magical scrolls and quills, the Blue Scribes channel the arcane energies of Tzeentch, wielding their power to unravel secrets and twist reality to their whims. Together, they form a unique and enigmatic presence on the battlefield, a manifestation of Tzeentch’s unfathomable schemes and the chaos of raw magic.

How to paint the The Blue Scribes set

  1. Step 1: Basecoat the Blue Scribes
Apply a basecoat of a blue paint, such as Thousand Sons Blue, to all the relevant areas of the model, including the skin and faces, using a medium-sized brush.
  2. Step 2: Highlight the Blue Faces
Using an even lighter shade of blue, such as Fenrisian Grey or Imrik Blue, carefully paint the faces of the Blue Scribes, focusing on the raised areas and facial features. This will create highlights and add definition to their blue skin.
  3. Step 3: Paint the Scrolls and Quills
Use a neutral brown color, such as Mournfang Brown, to paint the scrolls and quills held by the Blue Scribes. Be precise when painting the intricate details on the scrolls, and use a small brush for better accuracy.
  4. Step 4: Add Metallic Accents
Using a metallic paint like Runelord Brass, carefully paint the metallic parts of the model, such as the quills tips, the scribes glasses, and any decorative elements. This will add a touch of richness and contrast to the model.
  5. Step 5: Detail the Eyes
With a fine brush, paint the eyes of the Blue Scribes using a contrasting color, such as Bad Moon Yellow or Evil Sunz Scarlet, to make them stand out.
  6. Step 6: Highlight the Details
Using lighter shades of blue, carefully apply highlights to the faces and other areas where appropriate. For the faces, use a lighter blue, like Alaitoc Blue, on the raised areas to add depth and dimension.
  7. Step 7: Base the Model
Paint the base of the model using suitable colors for the environment you want to depict. For a Tzeentch-themed base, consider using shades of blue, purple, or even a swirling pattern to represent the mystical energies surrounding the Blue Scribes.
  8. Step 8: Apply a Protective Coat
Once the paint is dry, apply a coat of varnish or a protective sealant to the model to protect the paint job and give it a finished look.
