For millennia, Ahriman, the relentless seeker of forbidden knowledge, has traversed the cosmos in his unwavering pursuit of ancient secrets and mystical artifacts. With an insatiable hunger for eldritch powers, he leaves a trail of devastation in his wake, reducing worlds to ashes to claim the coveted treasures that lie within their grasp. Those who dare to oppose him soon learn that resistance is futile, for Ahriman wields the unfathomable might of Tzeentchian magic. With a mere wave of his Black Staff, reality warps and twists, contorting the bodies of his adversaries into grotesque, unrecognizable forms, until nothing remains but a writhing mass of abhorrent flesh. As the master of a fractured Legion, Ahriman’s unyielding determination is so formidable that even the forces of destiny themselves bend to his formidable will. Beware, for in the presence of Ahriman, the very fabric of existence trembles, and the path of his inexorable ascent knows no bounds.

How to paint the Ahriman set
- Step 1: Prime the Model
Apply a base coat of Chaos Black to Ahriman, ensuring full coverage. This will create a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to. - Step 2: Base Colors
Start by painting Ahriman’s armor using a deep blue color, such as Macragge Blue, to achieve a rich base tone. Use thin layers and allow each coat to dry before applying the next. - Step 3: Metallic Details
Paint the intricate metallic details, such as Ahriman’s staff and shoulder trim, using a metallic silver paint like Runefang Steel. Be careful to keep the lines clean and precise. - Step 4: Accent Colors
Add contrasting accents to Ahriman’s armor and accessories. For example, paint the gems on his armor with a vibrant color like Lothern Blue or Teclis Blue. You can also add details like scrolls, books, or runes using Screaming Bell for a worn parchment look. - Step 5: Robes and Cloak
Paint Ahriman’s robes and cloak using a dark and rich color, such as Abaddon Black or XV-88. Apply multiple thin layers to achieve smooth coverage, allowing each coat to dry before moving on. - Step 6: Gold Trim
Highlight the edges of Ahriman’s armor and accessories with a bright gold color, like Retributor Armor. Use a small brush to carefully paint the raised edges, giving them a gleaming appearance. - Step 7: Face and Details
Paint Ahriman’s face, hands, and any exposed skin using a flesh tone such as Bugman’s Glow, or a metallic paint like Liberator Gold. Add depth and definition by applying a wash of Reikland Fleshshade or Agrax Earthshade to enhance the facial features. - Step 8: Eyes and Psychic Energy
Paint Ahriman’s eyes with a vibrant color, such as Mephiston Red or Baharroth Blue, to create a glowing effect. - Step 9: Fine Details
Add finishing touches by painting smaller details, such as belts, buckles, and small symbols, using a variety of appropriate colors. Use a fine brush and take your time to ensure precision. - Step 10: Basing
Complete the model by basing it. Apply texture paint, like Stirland Mud, to the base, and once dry, paint it in desired colors to represent a suitable environment, such as a rocky or arcane-themed base.
