How to paint the Junith Eruita Set
- Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Ensure you have a clean and well-lit workspace with ample room for your painting supplies. Gather all the necessary tools and paints before you begin. - Step 2: Prime the Model
Using a medium-sized brush, apply a thin coat of Chaos Black paint to Junith Eruita, covering the entire model. This will provide a smooth surface for the subsequent layers of paint to adhere to. Allow it to dry completely. - Step 3: Basecoat the Model
Choose a suitable base color for Junith Eruita’s armor, such as Corvus Black. Dilute the paint slightly with water, then use a medium-sized brush to apply an even layer to the armor, ensuring full coverage. Let it dry completely. - Step 4: Apply Wash for Depth
Select a wash color that complements the base color, like Nuln Oil. Using a small detail brush, apply the wash to the recessed areas and crevices on the model, such as the gaps between armor plates. This will create shadows and add depth. Allow it to dry completely. - Step 5: Highlight the Model
Use Praxeti White or any white color to create highlights. Load a medium-sized brush with the paint and gently dry-brush the raised edges and surfaces of Junith Eruita’s armor. This technique will pick up the details, adding depth and visual interest. Apply the highlights gradually, building them up as desired. - Step 6: Detailing
Now it’s time to add smaller details to enhance the model. Use smaller brushes and different colors, like Mephiston Red for the cloth details or Retributor Armor for metallic parts.Paint the wings with White Scar. Take your time and carefully apply these colors to the respective areas. Precise brush control is important here. - Step 7: Finishing Touches
Once you are satisfied with the main paint job, add some final touches to bring out the model’s character. For example, you can use Yriel Yellow for the flames on Junith Eruita’s armor or Screaming Skull for other decorative elements. Be creative and add any additional details you desire to make the model truly unique. - Step 8: Varnish the Model
Consider applying a layer of varnish to protect your hard work. Matte, satin, or gloss varnish can be used depending on the desired effect. Follow the instructions on the varnish bottle for the best results. Allow the varnish to dry completely.
