Skitarii Rangers

The Skitarii Rangers are relentless hunter-killers who wield weapons fueled by the energies of forge worlds. Their heavy, industrialized Skitarii warplate, adorned with the emblem of the Adeptus Mechanicus, is equipped with data-collecting sensors, antennae, and environmental monitors. Their bionic legs lend them a cybernetic appearance and help them navigate harsh terrain.

These miniatures feature cowls and gasmasks and carry galvanic rifles. The unit can be led by an Alpha armed with a radium or arc pistol and a close combat weapon, such as a power sword, taser goad, or arc maul. Three models can carry special weapons, including a transuranic arquebus, an arc rifle, or a plasma caliver, which includes a specific head and backpack. One model can be converted into an Alpha equipped with an enhanced data-tether or an omnispex.

How to paint the Skitarii Rangers Set

1. Step 1: Prime the Miniatures
   Apply a thin coat of primer to the Skitarii Rangers miniatures. Primer helps the paint adhere better and provides a smooth surface for painting. For an accurate representation, use Chaos Black Primer.
2. Step 2: Basecoat the Armor
   Using a medium-sized brush, apply a basecoat of Mechanicus Standard Grey to the armor plates. Thin the paint slightly with water or a medium to achieve smoother coverage. Apply the basecoat evenly, ensuring that the details of the miniature remain visible.
3. Step 3: Highlight the Armor
   Switch to a smaller brush and carefully apply a highlight color, like Skavenblight Dinge, to the raised areas and edges of the armor. This step will add depth and visual interest to the miniature.
4. Step 4: Paint the Robes
   For the fabric areas, apply a basecoat of Khorne Red to the robes. Then, use a smaller brush and carefully apply a highlight color, like Wazdakka Red, to the raised areas and edges. Leave the basecoat visible in the recessed areas.
5. Step 5: Detail the Weapons and Gadgets
   The Skitarii Rangers have various weapons, gadgets, and other mechanical details. Use appropriate colors such as Leadbelcher for metallic parts, Mephiston Red for lens or sensor details, and Balthasar Gold for any gold accents. Apply multiple thin coats and use a small brush to carefully pick out the details.
6. Step 6: Add Finishing Touches
   To complete the painting process, add finishing touches to the Skitarii Rangers. Paint any visible details such as the lenses or visors using a small brush and appropriate colors. Add additional details like freehand designs or symbols if desired. Use a fine detail brush and steady hands for these final touches.
