How to paint the Primaris Firestrike Servo-turret

  1. Step 1: Priming with Chaos Black
To begin painting your Primaris Firestrike Servo-turret, start by priming the miniature with Chaos Black spray primer. This creates a solid base for your paints to adhere to.
  2. Step 2: Armor Panels
Paint the armor panels of the turret with Macragge Blue. Ensure an even coat to achieve the iconic blue appearance.
  3. Step 3: Metallic Parts
Focus on the metallic components, such as the supports of the turret and the gun barrel. Apply Leadbelcher to give them a realistic metallic shine.
  4. Step 4: Black Details
For the parts of the twin las-talon, especially the section that holds the barrels, use Abaddon Black. This creates a striking contrast with the blue armor.
  5. Step 5: Space Marine
If your turret features a Space Marine operator, paint their armor with Mephiston Red. This adds a bold splash of red to the miniature.
  6. Step 6: Small Details
Bring out the small details with careful highlighting. Use Moot Green for the eye lenses of the Space Marine and Screaming Skull for any skulls or intricate elements.
  7. Step 7: Layering for Depth
Enhance the depth and details of your miniature by applying lighter shades of the base paints. Use Calgar Blue the armor panels, Stormhost Silver for the metallic parts, and Evil Sunz Scarlet for the armor of the space marine.
  8. Step 8: Painting the Base
To create a textured base for your Firestrike Servo-turret, consider using texture paints like Mordant Earth or any preferred texture paint. Apply it to the base to mimic a realistic terrain.
  9. Step 9: Varnishing for Protection
Preserve your hard work by applying a protective varnish over the entire miniature. Munitorum varnish is an excellent choice for this purpose. Ensure the varnish is fully dry before handling the model, unless you want to give your hands an extra layer of protection too.
