How to paint the Space Marines Assault Squad set

  1. Step 1: Basecoat the Armor
Begin by applying a basecoat of blue paint to the Space Marines’ armor. For example, you can use Kantor Blue to achieve a strong and bold blue color.
  2. Step 2: Paint the Eye Lenses
Using red paint, carefully paint the eye lenses on the helmets of the Space Marines. Mephiston Red is a good choice for creating striking red lenses.
  3. Step 3: Color the Weapons
Next, use black paint to color the chainswords and other weapons that the Space Marines are wielding. Abaddon Black or any other black paint will work well for this step.
  4. Step 4: Add Gold Trim
Using a metallic gold paint like Retributor Armor, carefully paint the armor trim to give the Space Marines a regal and distinguished appearance.
  5. Step 5: Detail with White
With White Scar, add fine details to the model, such as purity seals or chapter symbols. This will bring out the intricate design of the Space Marines’ armor.
  6. Step 6: Optional: Paint Exposed Flesh
If your Space Marine models have exposed flesh, you can paint it using a flesh-tone paint like Cadian Fleshtone or any other suitable color to bring life to the model.
  7. Step 7: Fine-Tune and Clean Up
Take a moment to fine-tune your paint job and clean up any areas where the paint may have overlapped or gone outside the lines.
  8. Step 8: Varnish and Protect
Finally, apply a protective layer of varnish over the painted models to preserve your hard work and keep the paint job intact for a long time.
