Unified by their hideous appearance and fearsome capabilities, the Genestealer Aberrants coalesce into formidable packs of warriors that specialize in wreaking havoc through close-quarters combat. The battleground transforms into a spectacle of devastation as these creatures, wielding industrial implements with formidable proficiency, unleash chaos through sheer force and an unrelenting sense of purpose.
Their arsenal of heavy melee weapons becomes the catalyst for unleashing monumental amounts of damage upon adversaries who dare to cross their path. The clanging of metal against flesh echoes their dominance as foes are forced into submission under the relentless barrage. And should any opposition persist, the Aberrants possess rending claws that deliver a fatal finishing blow, sealing the fate of their adversaries.

How to paint the Aberrants set
- Step 1: Base Coat
Begin by applying a base coat to your Aberrants. For their rough skin, use a purple shade like Daemonette Hide. This will serve as the foundation for the rest of the colors. - Step 2: Wash for Depth
Enhance the details of your Aberrants by applying a wash. Choose a violet shade such as Druchii Violet and gently brush it over the skin. The wash will settle in the recesses, adding depth and making the textures pop. - Step 3: Armor
Time to add some color to the their armour/clothing. Use a blue color like Kantor Blue for that. Don’t worry about staying perfectly inside the lines – just aim to cover the larger areas. - Step 4: Highlighting
Highlighting adds dimension to your miniatures. Using a lighter shade than the base, like Warpfiend Grey, gently brush the edges of the skin and clothing. This mimics the way light hits the surfaces. - Step 5: Metallic Details
Aberrants often carry tools and weapons. Paint these with a metallic color such as Leadbelcher. This metallic sheen adds realism and contrast to your miniatures. - Step 6: Rending Claws
For their lethal claws, choose a dark color like Abaddon Black. Carefully paint the claws, creating a menacing look that stands out from the rest of the body. - Step 7: Eyes and Teeth
Adding the eyes and teeth may seem tricky, but it’s easier than you think! Use a tiny brush and a bright color like Yriel Yellow or White Scar for the eyes, and Ushabti Bone for the teeth. A steady hand and patience will pay off here. - Step 8: Bases
Completing the miniatures involves painting their bases. Use a texture paint that matches your chosen environment. For example, Stirland Mud creates a rugged and realistic base. - Step 9: Varnish for Protection
Once your Aberrants are painted to your satisfaction, apply a varnish to protect your hard work. This will also give a consistent finish to your miniatures.
