How to paint the Kroot Shaper set

  1. Step 1: Prime the Kroot Shaper
Start by priming the Kroot Shaper with a black or grey primer spray. This will provide a good base for the paint.
  2. Step 2: Paint the Skin
Using Death Guard Green, apply a smooth base coat to the Kroot Shaper’s skin. Ensure that the green covers the entire skin area evenly.
  3. Step 3: Paint the Hair
Take Abaddon Black and carefully paint the hair of the Kroot Shaper. Make sure to be precise and avoid getting paint on the skin or clothing.
  4. Step 4: Paint the Clothing
Use XV-88 to paint the clothing of the Kroot Shaper. This color will give the clothing a nice earthy brown tone.
  5. Step 5: Paint the Bones
For the bones, choose Ushabti Bone. Apply it to any bones on the Kroot Shaper’s model, such as bones on the weapon or as part of the clothing details.
  6. Step 6: Paint the Weapon
To paint the weapon, mix metallic colors like Brass Scorpion and Ironbreaker. This will give the weapon a unique and eye-catching metallic look. You can dry brush different metallic colors to add texture and depth to the weapon.
  7. Step 7: Add Wash for Depth
Apply a wash like Agrax Earthshade over the skin, hair, clothing, bones, and weapon. This will add depth to the miniature and make the colors pop.
  8. Step 8: Final Touches
Inspect your painted Kroot Shaper and make any necessary touch-ups. Ensure that all the details are clean, and the colors are well-blended.
