How to paint the Tactical Drones set

1. Step 1: Prime the Tactical Drones
   Before we start painting, it’s important to prime the Tactical Drones. Use a black or grey primer spray to create a good base for the paint to adhere to.
2. Step 2: Paint the Top Disc
   Take a fine brush and paint the top disc of the Tactical Drone with White Scar. This will be the base color for the top part of the drone. Make sure to cover the entire surface evenly.
3. Step 3: Add Celestra Grey Details
   Using a smaller brush, carefully add Celestra Grey details on the top disc. This could be lines, symbols, or any other intricate designs you like. The Celestra Grey adds some contrast to the white and gives your drone a more visually appealing look.
4. Step 4: Paint the Body
   Switch to a larger brush and paint the body of the Tactical Drone with Abaddon Black. Ensure a smooth and even coat, covering all areas of the body.
5. Step 5: Paint Cameras and Weapons
   Switch back to the fine brush and use White Scar again to paint the body of the cameras and weapons on the body. These details will stand out nicely against the black body.
6. Step 6: Highlight the Weapons
   To add some visual interest to the weapons, take Lothern Blue and carefully paint the details of each weapon or camera. This gives the weapons a cool, glowing effect.
7. Step 7: Shading and Layering
   To add depth and dimension to your Tactical Drones, it’s time for shading and layering. Use Nuln Oil shade and apply it selectively to the recessed areas, such as the gaps between armor plates and around the cameras and weapons. This will create shadows and make the details pop.
8. Step 8: Layering Highlights
   After the shade has dried, go back to White Scar and lightly apply it to the raised edges of the top disc and body. This technique, called edge highlighting, will make the details stand out even more.
9. Step 9: Weathering (Optional)
   Weathering adds a battle-worn and realistic look to your miniatures. For a beginner-friendly approach, you can use a sponge or a small brush to dab on a bit of black paint around the edges of the drones and on areas that would receive wear during combat. This simulates chipped paint and battle damage.
10. Step 10: Final Touches
    Inspect your Tactical Drones and make any necessary touch-ups. Ensure that all the details are crisp and clean. You can also add some small decals or markings if you like.
