How to paint the Kill Team: Corsair Voidscarred set

  1. Step 1: Basecoat the Armour
Start by applying a basecoat of Stegadon Scale Green to the Corsair Voidscarred’s armor. This will be their primary color and provide a strong foundation for the rest of the painting process.
  2. Step 2: Paint the Clothing
Next, use Khorne Red to paint the clothing or fabric elements on the Corsairs. This vibrant red color will contrast nicely with the green armor and add visual interest to the miniatures.
  3. Step 3: Work on the Faces
If the Corsairs have exposed faces, use a flesh-colored paint like Cadian Fleshtone to bring their features to life. Carefully paint the eyes, nose, and mouth to add realistic detail to their faces.
  4. Step 4: Paint the Helmets
For Corsairs with helmeted heads, you have a couple of options. You can paint their helmets using White Scar, which gives them a clean and striking appearance. Alternatively, you can choose specific Aeldari colors to match the faction you’re representing. Another option is to paint the helmets with Abaddon Black and add details in gold or other metallic/silver colors to make them stand out.
  5. Step 5: Highlight the Armour
To add depth and dimension to the green armor, use a lighter shade of green like Temple Guard Blue to highlight the edges and raised areas. This will make the armor look more three-dimensional and dynamic.
  6. Step 6: Add Metallic Details
Use metallic colors like Retributor Armor or Leadbelcher to paint any metallic details on the Corsairs, such as weapons, buckles, or ornaments. These metallic accents will make the miniatures pop and add a touch of realism.
  7. Step 7: Add Other Details
Feel free to add other details to the miniatures using different colors. For example, you can use Auric Armour Gold paint for intricate designs, gems, or jewelry, or use Stormhost Silver for additional metallic accents.
  8. Step 8: Finish with a Wash
Apply a wash like Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade over the miniatures to bring out the details and add shading to the recessed areas. This will give the Corsairs a more gritty and realistic look.
  9. Step 9: Final Touches
Add any final touches, such as painting insignias, squad markings, or freehand designs. These details will add character and personality to your Corsair Voidscarred miniatures.
