On the TableTop

Rukkatrukk Squigbuggies are the rowdy and relentless artillery of the Ork forces, bulldozing their way through the chaos to unleash a torrent of squig-based mayhem. With bitey squigs, bile squigs, and boom squigs, these buggies bring a unique blend of chewing, squirting, and exploding chaos to the battlefield. Constructed with a rugged yet ramshackle design, the Squigbuggy features a squig pen teeming with ferocious creatures, a daring Ork balancing precariously by the pen, and a crew of squig-wranglers ready for action. With its distinctive toothed maw and spiky ram, this vehicle embodies the raucous spirit of the Ork horde.

What’s in the Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy box

  • x1 Citadel 150mm Oval base.

How to paint the Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy set

  1. Step 1: Ragtag Bodywork
Begin by painting the body of the Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy using Citadel paints. Apply a mix of colors like Mournfang Brown, Iyanden Yellow, and Macragge Blue to create a patchwork effect that reflects the scrap construction. Leave some areas unpainted to show exposed metal.
  2. Step 2: Metallic Mayhem
Paint the metallic parts of the Squigbuggy, such as the engine and weaponry, with paints like Leadbelcher or Runefang Steel. Apply a wash of Nuln Oil to add depth and weathering to these areas.
  3. Step 3: Wheelin’ and Dealin’
Give the wheels a rugged look by painting them with Abaddon Black or other suitable black paint. This will create a worn and gritty appearance for the Squigbuggy’s wheels.
  4. Step 4: Greenskin Glory
Focus on the Orks riding the Squigbuggy. Use something like Warboss Green or Warpstone Glow for their green skin. Highlight with Moot Green for a vibrant effect and use a wash like Biel-Tan Green for shading.
  5. Step 5: Colorful Character
Paint the Orks’ clothing and accessories in various colors. Use paints like Evil Sunz Scarlet for the squig-launching Ork’s attire and mix different colors for other parts of their clothing. Be creative and let the Orks showcase their individuality!
  6. Step 6: Ravishing Reds
Detail the squigs launched by the Squigbuggy with Wazdakka Red. Add highlights with Wild Rider Red and apply a wash of Carroburg Crimson to enhance the depth and bring out their menacing nature.
  7. Step 7: Final Flourishes
Add finishing touches to the Squigbuggy and Orks by applying additional highlights, weathering effects, and details. Experiment with dry brushing, washes, and edge highlighting to bring out the textures and character of the model. Once you’re done, you can apply a varnish.
